Occupational Health and Safety Practice Test
The employee is obliged to:
come to work on time, well-groomed, and sober
follow the instructions of the receptionist/security guard to ensure safety in the company
comply with legal and other regulations and the employer's instructions on occupational health and safety (OHS), with which he has been demonstrably acquainted
The employee has the right to:
claim a wage increase for performing work in a safe manner
to information about the risks of his work and the measures for protection against them
to a reward for performing work in a safe manner
The employee is obliged to ensure:
of the tidy appearance of his workplace
of his own safety, his health, and the safety and health of other individuals
not to endanger the following groups of people by his work: small children, elderly persons, disabled persons
In the event of a work injury, the employee is obliged to:
report his own injury, if his health condition allows, or the injury of another person he has witnessed, to the supervisor
record the occurrence of the work injury in the first aid kit logbook
treat the injury with his own improvised means
The employer is obliged to organize work and establish work procedures in such a way that:
the work is carried out as quickly as possible
the principles of safe conduct in the workplace are observed
the employees are not tired
Responsibility for occupational health and safety (OHS) and the obligation to create favorable working conditions and ensure OHS lies with:
the supervisor at his workplace or work section
the professionally competent person in risk prevention (the so-called "safety officer")
the human resources department
Personal protective equipment is:
for example, a bicycle helmet
any device that an employee uses at their own discretion to protect their own health at work
protective equipment that must protect employees from risks, must not endanger their health, must not hinder the performance of work and must meet the requirements set out in directly applicable European Union regulations
Protective devices – covers, safety devices:
may be discarded at the discretion of the worker
must be marked with paint and markings
must always be in working order and must fulfil a protective function under all circumstances
Introductory briefing on occupational health and safety within the scope of the developed curriculum:
carried out by colleagues after the end of the probationary period

carried out by the safety technician at any time during the first month after starting work
The obligation to provide first aid to another person whose life or health is in danger lies with:
any natural person, unless this puts themselves or someone else at risk
only a person with a secondary or higher education in a health-related field

Work at heights must be suspended in adverse weather conditions, which include:
ambient temperature below 0°C
storms, rain, snowfall and icing
visibility less than 50 meters
